Where the saving actually comes from
Two things drive the size of the saving on any given job: how the mail is sorted and prepared, and how clean the underlying address data is. A well-sorted mailing sent to a list full of duplicates and dead addresses still wastes postage on items that were never going to arrive. That's why we treat sortation and data management and addressing as two halves of the same job rather than separate services, and why the combination of the two is usually where the real saving sits, often enough to cover the cost of preparing the mailing itself.
Once the mail is sorted, wrapped or enclosed correctly, it comes together with our polywrapping and magazine mailing or envelope inserting lines, so nothing needs to be handed off to a separate supplier partway through.

Is there a minimum volume to qualify for a discount?
An Post's discount schemes are generally aimed at bulk senders rather than one-off small mailings. If you're not sure whether your volume qualifies, tell us roughly how many items and how often, and we'll advise honestly, including if it isn't worth sorting for a particular job.
What makes a mailing eligible for the best rate?
Eligibility comes down to a combination of format, weight, sortation and how the addresses are prepared. This is exactly the kind of preparation we handle as standard, so you don't need to work out the rules yourself.
Do I need to already have clean data before this helps?
