If your magazine, newsletter or catalogue goes out to a list rather than a shop shelf, polywrapping is usually the fastest and most cost-effective way to get it there in one piece. It protects the pages in transit, carries the address and postage impression, and lets you add a subscription card or insert without a separate envelope.
What polywrapping actually involves
Your printed copies arrive at our Dublin 3 facility, and our high-speed lines wrap each one in film, address it, and prepare it for An Post. We run clear film when you want the cover visible on the doormat, opaque film when the contents need to stay private, or printed film carrying your own branding and messaging. For publishers moving away from plastic, we can also run a paper wrap option.
The lines handle up to 8,000 packs an hour, so even a full subscription run for a national title is a same-week job rather than a multi-week one. At the same time, we can collate up to three separate items alongside the main magazine, so a reply card, renewal notice or advertising insert goes out automatically in the same pack, with no separate handling step for you.

Polywrapping & Magazine Mailing — What polywrapping actually involves
When to choose polywrap over an envelope
Polywrapping suits anything with some bulk or an irregular shape: magazines, newsletters, brochures and catalogues all wrap cleanly and cost less to prepare than hand-enclosing into envelopes at the same volume. It's also the format An Post's periodicals and packet rates are built around, so a well-prepared polywrapped mailing is often the more postage-efficient option for regular publications.
If you're mailing a single sheet or a simple letter pack instead, our envelope inserting and enclosing service is usually the better fit, and either format benefits from starting with clean, validated address data.

Where the savings come from
Wrapping is only half the job. Getting the discount is the other half. We sort and prepare every run to qualify for the best available An Post postage discount, and because postage is typically the single biggest line in a mailing budget, that sortation step is where most of the real saving sits, not in the wrap itself.

Frequently asked questions
How much does polywrapping cost?
It depends on run length, film type and how many inserts you're collating. Send us your specification and volume and we'll come back with a price, usually the same working day.
Is there a minimum quantity for polywrapping?
We run everything from short trial issues to full subscription volumes. Tell us your number and we'll advise on the most cost-effective way to run it.
Can you use eco-friendly wrap instead of plastic film?
Yes. Alongside clear, opaque and printed polythene film, we can run paper wrap for publishers moving away from plastic. Ask us for samples.
Can you collate more than one insert with the magazine?
Our lines collate up to three items alongside the main magazine or catalogue, so subscription cards, leaflets and reply devices go out in the same pack automatically.
